Under a canopy of rainbow flag, MCC students and staff adorned in colorful outfits paraded to MCC campus. Each waved banners and signs displaying messages of love, acceptance, and pride. Performances from different student organizations; Silab Ning Aldo, Folto Danzatore, MCC Band, and other guest performers followed suit spreading pride, joy, and celebration.

Adrian Acoba, the reigning MCC Pride Queen of 2022, shared a message of empowerment and encouraged everyone to embrace their authentic selves.

Despite being away, MCC President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong expressed her support and dedication in promoting inclusive and accepting community in the campus ground. Assistant Vice President for Student Life Prof. Beejay Sebastian also noted that the MCC Pride Celebration concretized the advocacy of MCC in providing safe and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ members.

Vice President for Finance and Administration Ms. Happy Pelayo emphasized the importance of embracing diversity and celebrating individuality. This was also underscored in the original composition “Ikaw ay Makulay” sang by the MCC Band as the crowd erupted in a burst of colors with vibrant confetti and splash of water filled the air.

This was also a tribute to a beloved LGBTQIA+ member and pillar of the MCC inclusivity Mr. Edren Denzel C. Bauzon. His works and contributions to the college were also presented through a poignant photo and video presentation.
