Swissôtel Clark lauds the effort and initiative of Mabalacat City College in championing the needs of the community and students. MCC 4th year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students embarked on their on-the-job training on 24 April 2023 and expected to conclude in the second week of July. Their training aims to equip them with skills and knowledge essential to the industry.

The aspiring professionals immerse themselves in various facets of hotel operations including the front office, housekeeping, food and beverage service, kitchen operations, and sales and marketing. This activity is in consonance with the Memorandum of Agreement between MCC and Swissôtel Clark signed last 17 April 2023 to equip the students with an accurate understanding of their career path while developing essential soft skills sought after by employers.

Swissôtel Clark emphasizes the exemplary work ethics and diligence displayed by the MCC interns throughout their training. The RSW Foundation Manager of HANN Foundation Mr. Ronnel T. Golimlim commends MCC student interns for their dedication and commitment to providing exceptional service. “I have good positive feedbacks from Swissôtel Clark regarding your OJT students, Let’s continue building their skills in a 5-star hotel,” he noted. Swissôtel recompenses their effort and hard work with complimentary meal reserved only for employees.

The internship provides the students with deeper knowledge on the skillset crucial in the hospitality and tourism industry market. Student interns underscored the invaluable lessons they gained from the program. “Sa mga taong nakakasama namin, [Swissôtel Clark staff and management] mababait po sila. Tinuturuan po nila kami ng mga dapat naming gawin kaya nag-eenjoy po kami,” expressed Ma. Renna Gelbolingo from BSHM-4C.

To further support these students on their journey, Swissôtel plans to hold a workshop on the last day of their OJT. This workshop will cover important topics such as pursuing dreams, giving back to the community, and nurturing leadership qualities. By offering this additional guidance and mentorship, Swissôtel demonstrates its commitment to fostering the holistic growth and development of these aspiring hospitality professionals.

The collaboration between MCC and Swissôtel Clark serves as a testament of their unwavering efforts to cater to the community. They are shaping the future of the community and market by providing students with invaluable experiential learning opportunities and ensuring their competency as professionals. The dedication and passion of both institutions would leave a lasting impact on the lives and careers of these aspiring professionals, as well as on the community as a whole.
