"Pamiaduangan" Visual Art Exhibit Features MCC Student Artist's Artwork

February 11, 2022

In celebration of the National Commission for Culture and Arts’ (NCCA) National Arts Month, the city of Mabalacat under the leadership of Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, the Mabalacat City Tourism Office (MCTO), Mabalacat City College (MCC), and the Sibul ning Kalalangan bring you “Pamiaduangan”: a visual art exhibit. The exhibit aims to bring Mabalaqueño creativity and artistry to the limelight.

One notable artwork joining said exhibit presents a brilliantly colored façade of MCC’s center building and below is a gargantuan crimson letter “U”. The artwork is entitled “Becoming U” (acrylic on paper) and is the obra of John Ganiel M. Tique, a 4th Year MCC BSEd-Science Major. Through a phone interview, he excitedly shared, “I am very proud of what MCC has become now. I am a proud graduating student. I saw how MCC took gradual steps in improving its facilities and services just to provide us with high-quality education. My simple artwork is just a token of appreciation to all the hard work of the management."

Through art, the strong desire of the community to go “U” is evident.

“Pamiaduangan” will open on February 14 and is set to run until the 28th at Mabalacat Elementary School (Gabaldon). The exhibit will be open to the public and there are no entrance fees. Mr. Tique’s artwork, alongside the different artworks of 33 other visual artists, will be on display. MCC is inviting everyone to visit and experience the exhibit.
