November 30, 2023

30 November 2023 — Our Lady of Grace Parish (OLGP) and Function Hall overflowed with joy as the community gathered for the "Binyagang Bayan" celebration, themed "Uniting Hearts, Blessing Souls." This special event, meticulously organized by the BSHM 4B Events Class with the guidance of Ma'am Maricar S. Besa, embraced 40 children from underprivileged families in Mabalacat City, welcoming them into the Christian faith through the sacrament of baptism.

The day commenced with a heartfelt mass at OLGP led by Rev. Msgr. Jose Lacap. The BSHM 4B Events Class played a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and meaningful ceremony that echoed the theme of unity and blessings. Families gathered to witness the sacrament.  IHTM Dean Ma'am Jennyfer Merza, and AVP for Student Life Ma'am Florient G. Non were also present in the event.

After the mass, the congregation moved to the Function Hall, transformed into a haven of celebration by the creative efforts of the students. Adorned with decorations reflecting the joyous occasion and the theme, the hall hosted tables set with a feast, symbolizing the abundance of blessings accompanying the baptism of 40 children.

The BSHM 4B Events Class also organized engaging activities that fostered fellowship among the parishioners, while also ensuring that the celebration had a charitable aspect in line with the theme. Donation drives and outreach programs were organized during the event, emphasizing the community's dedication to supporting those in need.

The collaborative efforts of the Our Lady of Grace Parish community, the BSHM 4B Events Class, and the esteemed guests created not just an event but a meaningful experience that beautifully echoed the theme of "Uniting Hearts, Blessing Souls," resonating in the hearts of the parishioners and the underprivileged families of Mabalacat City for years to come.

The event not only marked a religious celebration but also showcased the students’ commitment to uplifting underprivileged community members.
