November 16, 2023

November 15, 2023 — Mabalacat City College Corporate College and Lifelong Learning Coordinator Ms. Mikaela Joy M. Garcia provided an insightful talk, titled "FROM STRESS TO SUCCESS: Empowering Employees through Mental Health," in the Vitabread Food Products Employee Mental Health Awareness Seminar. The seminar was designed to raise awareness on mental health issues, promote help-seeking behaviors, and encourage emotional well-being practices.

During her presentation, she highlighted the effects of poor well-being on employees' engagement, motivation and overall performance. She drew attention to the often-overlooked connection of mental health and workplace productivity. This urges companies to acknowledge the relationship between employee well-being and organizational success.

"Employees who feel valued and supported at work are more likely to be engaged, motivated, and perform better. Remember that it is important for you to remain motivated because each of you fulfill a role in the workplace," Ms. Garcia emphasized.

Furthermore, practical tips on how to respond to mental health challenges as a team and personally were given to employees. The importance of an open dialogue and safe space within the workplace was her presentation’s recurring theme.

"You may not know but maybe you are the crying shoulder or listening ear that your colleagues need. By understanding how to care for others in terms of mental health, we can create a healthy working environment," Ms. Garcia explained.

Ms. Garcia recognized Vitabread’s commitment to continuing initiatives that prioritize the mental health of its employees and its impact on both individual lives and the company's overall success.
