I believe that talent is not born; it is cultivated with passion, motivation, patience, and practice. My advocacy is to help my students not only to develop but also to arm them with skills that will prepare them for the world of work.
My parents influenced my life the most when I was growing up. I have learned a lot from them. My mom taught me how to be grateful and appreciate simple things in life. She taught me how to be patient and resilient in times of hardships and difficulties. My dad, on the other hand, taught me the true meaning of generosity and hard work. He also advised me to be polite and respectful to anyone I meet because he believed that “respect begets respect”.
Now that I am a mother of two, my children are my driving forces and motivation in life. They are my influencers.
I render my service in the community by serving at our chapel as Lector/Commentator of the mass every Sunday. I also reach out to a neighbor in need. I also donate blood when there is a bloodletting program in our community.
The most controversial issue in the last academic year was the Blended Learning program for CHED and DepEd. As a teacher, I experienced the pressure of writing modules for SHS students, and sometimes, the use of technology can be challenging.
I am happy to share that under my unit, the Center for Applied Associate Degrees, we provided Grade 12 students with the TESDA National Certificate assessment for Cookery NCII and Events Management Services NCIII in coordination with the SHS department. We have a 100% passing rate for the Cookery NCII (49/49) and a 100% passing rate for the Events Management Services NCIII (30/30), and have three more batches already scheduled this last week of July 2021.
