Abstract
In the Philippines, nine of the country's top tourist attractions have received recognition on a global scale and are now listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Jigsaw puzzles have been found in studies to enhance cognition and visual-spatial reasoning. The general aim of the study is to develop a casual mobile game titled "Puzzyalan Jigsaw Battle; A 3D android based puzzle with trivia" that intends to promote the tourism of the Philippines in a form of an interactive presentation of media and 3D with the core game-play of a Jigsaw Puzzle Game which focuses on presenting the tourist spots, wildlife and food native to the country. The researchers utilized and used the Modified Waterfall Model methodology as a guide in the application development. The game has been made using a PC and software development tools such as Unity, Blender 3D, Wavepad Audio and Photoshop. The design and analysis tools such as storyboard, game tree menus, and character model was used. Evidently, the researcher created a game single or multiplayer, level of difficulty, trivia’s of Philippine foods, animals and tourist spots and puzzle assembly. The researchers have used statistical formulas such as frequency distribution, mean score and Likert scale. The survey questionnaires are based on the standard criteria specified in MEEGA+ specifically: Player Experience and Usability. The researchers came to the final conclusion that the game had been regarded as having satisfactorily met the predetermined criteria for the evaluation based on the beta test evaluation's overall mean score of 3.94.
