Abstract

The gaming industry has been flourishing as one of the sources of entertainment for a lot of people and one of the most common products from the gaming industry are mobile games. The popularity of mobile games paved the way to the rise of historical games – and it has been studied that these can be “potential valuable teaching tools” in history subjects or courses. It is in this sense that the researchers of this capstone project decided to design and develop LABAN BAYANI, a mobile Android-based 3D historical, fighting, beat ‘em up, adventure, and multiplayer game that aims to let its players learn and play at the same time using the software Unity and Photon Pun 2. It features five (5) national heroes of the Philippines, namely, Lapu-Lapu, Andres Bonifacio, Antonio Luna, Gregorio del Pilar, and Jose Rizal. For the development of the game, the researchers used the Agile Scrum methodology while MEEGA+ test cases were used to test and evaluate the game. Based on the test cases results, the researchers have successfully completed the project anchored to the objectives of this study.
