College Student Electoral Board (CSEB) Spearheads #MCCHalalan2021: A Two-Day Remote and Virtual Student Council Election

The Student Council election is aligned with MCC’s philosophy of advancing the community by means of shaping the students’ sense of solidarity, justice, freedom, equality, and literacy which cultivates high standard leadership qualities and interpersonal skills driven to preserve the Nation’s welfare and the greater good.

Mabalacat City College Supreme Student Council, as supported by Article II Section  1 to 3 of the Supreme Student Council Constitution and By-laws, envisions to be a just and benevolent student organization that will embody the united and genuine interest of the Mabalacat City College student body. Thus, the highest student governing body of the institution, composed of bona fide and qualified student leaders who embody the  Supreme Student Council core values by being a Catalyst of Change, Innovative, and student leaders who pursue and establish Excellence, aims to promote and protect students’ rights and welfare, foster a closer relationship among students, other sectors of the college, and the society while instilling holistic consciousness and social awareness towards the development of the college. 

Moreover, the Mabalacat City College Supreme Student Council and Institute Student  Council have the duties and responsibilities to ensure an accessible quality education for everyone, make decisions, plans, and programs, and projects for students’ welfare and development, serve as an active forum for student ideas and concerns, uphold the ideals of the College geared towards the development of well-rounded students, and represent them in all major policy-making bodies of the College.

In order for the organization to achieve its aspirations and goals, Article V Section 1  states that the campaign and election shall be conducted and governed. As such, the College Student Electoral Board (CSEB), under the Mabalacat City College - Office of Student and Cultural Affairs, spearheaded the #MCCHalalan2021: A two-day Remote and Virtual Student Council Election held last June 24-25, 2021.

The Mabalacat City College Student Portal was utilized as the Election Platform, facilitated and monitored by the Management Information System (MIS), CSEB, The Equalizer, and the OSCA.
