June 08, 2021

Mabalacat City College, through its Internationalization Office, continues to offer all available avenues of education for its students and its faculty who wish to finish a course in other fields of interest. Recently, MCC collaborated with EdX for a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for faculty members and students which can be done on a self-phase basis. EdX offers numerous courses in the Humanities, Information Technology, Business and the Natural Sciences, which need to be finished within a given period. Interested faculty members and students will get the chance to choose from more than a hundred free courses from April to July 2021.

“MOOC paved the way to bridge the student’s willingness to learn online in partnership with different international universities at their own pace of learning, given they will finish it with the time frame of the module, it is beneficial especially in this time of the pandemic, it is a great opportunity for all students, that is why Internationalization pursued to have collaboration with EdX”, said Mr. Raymond John D. Vergara, Vice-President for External Affairs.

The initiative is part of the institutions’ International approach gearing towards Virtual Mobility and Collaboration (VMC). Through VMC, our faculty and students are provided with the opportunities to be engaged globally. MCC fulfilled its vision of exploring borderless education through solidarity and partnership.
