Mabalacat City College formalized its partnership commitment with Mabalacat City Youth Development Office (CYDO) to launch the Return to Education Assistance Program (REAP) on 06 February 2024. This initiative specifically intends to reach out the out-of-school youth and drop-out students within the community and offer them support and assistance to pursue their tertiary education.

MCC President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong underscored how the Return to Education Assistance Program (REAP) conforms with MCC’s commitment in assisting the community through education and working hand-in-hand with the government. “With this program, we ensure that college dropouts can be integrated back to the education ecosystem so that they can have a better future,” Dr. Ong emphasized.

Furthermore, CYDO Officer-in-Charge Ms. Jaira L. Lomahan recognized the efforts of the College for the REAP partnership. “I commend MCC for helping our out-of-school youth to get back on track,” Ms. (CYDO) shared. She additionally added that the signing activity only made the partnership between MCC and CYDO formal, but both has been working as partners in serving the youth in the community.

Mabalacat City Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation Vice President Mr. Jaydee Layson also witnessed the activity. Through this collaboration, MCC expanded its service in a larger segment of the community by reinforcing the importance of education and providing pathways for these individuals to pursue higher learning opportunities.
