MCC Extends Community Effort to Bacolor High School

October 02, 2021

In line with MCC's thrust to lead and assist in the delivery of education in this pandemic time, MCC officials headed by the College President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong together with Vice President Happy Pelayo, Assistant Vice President Basty Sebastian and Kayantabe Director Niel Rigdao, visited Bacolor High School (BHS) on September 30, 2021.

According to BHS Principal Dr. Rigette Ryan Ramos, he personally invited the College President to show the Digital Alternative Technology Zone, a designated online classroom in the campus proposed by Pres. Ong's MPA class in DHVSU, which was patterned from the award-winning and internationally recognized MCC Digihub project.

The MCC Management was delighted to see how BHS adopted the digihub concept. “To see it for real, made us all feel like we did something right. This small contribution to education will always be a part of MCC's history", Pres. Ong said.

The MCC Digihub was an innovative approach of the local college, which was fully supported by the local government of Mabalacat, led by Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo.

AVPAA Basty Sebastian, also shared to them the new version of MCC Digihub which is the MCC Digihub Plus which includes  student services for possible expansion of their project. The said sharing was met with enthusiasm and a visit to MCC soon.

During the visit, the MCC Management also presented them with gifts and donations for their Brigada Eskwela.
