MCC Keeps Busy On Day 2 of NAFSA Conference and Expo

June 21, 2022

June 2, 2022 (Local Date) - The Mabalacat City College is at high spirits after the 2nd day of the NAFSA 2022 Conference and Expo. The College President Dr. Michellle Aguilar-Ong attended an orientation with the Erasmus Mundus, the European Union-funded scholarship program which aims to enhance the quality of higher education through scholarships and academic cooperation between the EU countries and the rest of the world. They gave MCC two possible partnership programs the College can avail.

Subsequently, Dr. Aguilar-Ong found four new institutional partners from Poland, Belgium, Denmark, and Portugal on their English-taught degree programs. In addition, Southern New Hampshire University, San Ignacio University of Miami, and University of Notre Dame are all interested to conduct COIL with the College together with the Bayanihan COIL Group.

The College also received an invitation from IIE or the Institute of International Education, a global organization that designs and implements international education strategies and program services, to be a virtual presenter on the College’s COIL experience with Langara College of Canada. Further, goabroad.com, a virtual marketplace for programs, invited the College to be listed in their website to advertise the school’s programs to foreign students.

It has only been the 2nd day of the 4-day NAFSA Conference and the goal of MCC to boost its international presence for strategic purposes and institutional advancement looks really promising.
