MCC Students Receive Tertiary Education Subsidy

September 02, 2021

In partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and UniFAST, Mabalacat City College (MCC) paved the way for its students to avail themselves of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES). The said subsidy was distributed on September 2, 2021, to 45 TES MCC continuing grantees (1st-semester A.Y. 2020-2021) amounting to P 20,000.00 each at the MCC Student Center. TES is one of the major programs provided for in the Republic Act 10931 also known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act. The TES is given to indigent and deserving students who are enrolled in selected State Universities and Colleges, and Local Universities and Colleges. Ms. Jeramy Arceo, BSEd Filipino, from the Institute of Teacher Education expressed her gratitude for the TES grant saying that “this assistance is really helpful, especially that I am now a fourth-year student. I will be able to utilize it for my upcoming On-the-Job Training (OJT) as a student-teacher of MCC and also for other academic expenses". MCC is a local government-funded college and education is one of the pillars and top priorities of the current administration led by Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo.
