November 20, 2020

Mabalacat City College expressed its gratitude to the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) for inviting the institution to be part of the Development of Internationalization Plans and Institution of Best Internationalization Practices, last November 18, 2020.

In collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education Region III, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Bulacan State University, and Mabalacat City College, this webinar paved the way in sharing different internationalization efforts and future plans for the internationalization of other different Local Universities and Colleges, State Universities and Academic Institutions.

Institutionalizing Internationalization in different colleges and universities can be materialized despite this pandemic. Because of the setback, developments were made to accelerate the interconnectedness of each and everyone through various mediums. Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, MCC College President, in her closing remark stated that “Internationalization is within reach. Our Colleges and Universities just need to explore this a little more and be bolder in tapping the wide array of opportunities.”

An example was the International Webinar Series of Mabalacat City College. The webinar series was able to feature Harvard Senior Fellow and bestseller author James Scott as a resource speaker, other academicians in Asian and European countries were also featured, including the Mayor of Hiroshima Japan for Peace Education. Thus, cementing the Internalization Practices during the Covid-19 pandemic.
