Mabalacat City College, represented by the College President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong and Vice President for External Affairs Mr. Raymond John Vergara, purposely signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Mabalacat Elementary School Alumni Association (MESAA) represented by its President Jeam Jesus M. Espanta and Brand Manager Edwin L. Soliman at MCC Hometown Bar and Restaurant, November 3, 2021.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sets forth the offer of MESAA to provide scholarship grants to a number of indigent but academically excelling students of MCC. The MESAA Project Scholar was approved by MESAA Board 2019 and 2020 under the leadership of then MESSA President, Dr. Angelita D. Romero. The project was officially launched in February 2021. MESAA takes pride in joining other groups in the City that sponsor grants and scholarships for the City College and is expected to continue and expand the project.
MESAA strongly believes in the pivotal role of the human capital in the growth and development of a community reflective of the desired culture, value system and the citizens' way of life in general.
Mabalacat City College, primarily in charge of forging partnerships with the community, also strengthens its advocacy on providing equal access to quality education. On the other hand, MESAA stresses that granting scholarships is a way of giving worthy students a chance to study in local colleges and to be economic drivers that will make a huge impact on the community.
