Metro Clark School of Arts and Trade (MCSAT), a Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) licensed school was inaugurated last February 2, 2021, which coincided with the city’s 309th patronal feast celebration. It was attended by national and regional top officials of TESDA and DOST as well as LGU and MCC officials.
In her speech, Dr. Irene G. Alvaro, Chairman of MCSAT, said that the school shall provide training that responds to the immediate needs of the industry hence providing employable skills. She further said that they want to be a part of the solution in the economic crisis that the community is currently facing as an impact of the worldwide pandemic.
MCC President Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong disclosed that they are working on a partnership with MCSAT that shall benefit MCC student applicants. She also added that they are studying the option of fitting the TESDA training offered by MCSAT with MCC’s related degrees for possible ladderized programs. President Ong said, “it will be good to assure MCSAT students that they can always apply for a college degree in MCC whenever they are ready.”
MCSAT is offering Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and other training related to hotel and restaurant management and with plans to open more programs in the coming months. The school is located beside Teresita’s Restaurant.
