MCC Academic Personnel Take Part in POPCOM-R3 and POPGAD's "Training of Trainers"

July 28, 2021

Mabalacat City College, through its community service arm, the MCC Kayantabe, in cooperation with the Commission on Population and Development – Region III (POPCOM-R3) and Population Gender and Development (POPGAD) facilitated its Training of Trainers on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) on July 28-31, 2021 at MCC Cultural Hall.

This endeavor is part of the tripartite partnership inked by PopCom Region 3, Mabalacat City Government Gender and Development Office, and Mabalacat City College that aims to address social concerns brought about by population problems.

This three-day training program kicked off today, with PopCom Regional Director Lourdes Nacionales, MCC Kayantabe Director Niel Rigdao, and Asst. Vice President for Academic Affairs Basty Sebastian.

In his welcome message, AVP Sebastian praised the program and expressed his high hopes for the MCC trainer-attendees from the Academic and Student Services Division who will be in the frontline of educating the youth on this matter.

"Yes we are in the middle of battling the pandemic, but it doesn't mean that other social issues paused hunting our community like population explosion and reproductive health mismanagement. We at MCC will continue to be contributors to the solution in addressing these issues with concrete steps stemming from our very own core value of providing service to the community," he added.
