February 27, 2023

As a socially-inclusive institution, I-PEACE, or Indigenous People Equitable Access to College Education Program, is one of the new programs that Mabalacat City College launched. This program guarantees automatic admission of members of the Philippines' Indigenous People (IPs) in the college.

MCC Kayantabe, the advocacy arm of the college, collaborated with the Mabalacat Technical Vocational Senior High School (MTV-SHS) in identifying IP students who wish to pursue tertiary education. The Aeta students, together with their parents, were given an orientation about I-PEACE and other support programs under the I-PEACE CONNECT. After the orientation, the students had the chance for an MCC campus tour.

The event was attended by Mr. Jaypee Quioc, Guidance Designate of MTV-SHS, Ms. Josevy Taguibao, Assistant Vice President for Support for Academics and Institutional Development (SAID), Ms. Carol R. Arboleda, Manager of MCC Kayantabe, and the entire Kayantabe team.

Parents and students were enthusuastic about the opportunities available for them at MCC. MCC is looking forward to welcome them as members of the Crimson Tribe in the coming academic year.
