The Silawan and MCC Kayantabe Forge Strong Community Relationship with Sitio Haduan

June 09, 2022

June 9, 2020 - SILAWAN (an MCC duly recognized student organization) and Kayantabe, with the support of our dedicated building and maintenance staff, executed another community-based initiative in Sitio Haduan, Brgy. Marcos Village. The primary focus of the project was the reconstruction of the Haduan basketball court and the delivery of sports equipment. This project will enable every member of the community to exercise their right to participate in sports while also creating opportunities for more culturally relevant activities.

In addition to the athletic equipment that was provided to the community, MCC students together with their parents had the opportunity to spread good-will by offering snacks and refreshments and by distributing packed goods.

Everyone is excited that the basketball court will be usable again after almost a year. MCC was commended by officials from Haduan Negrito Elementary School and by our partner community for hosting the activity which they believe will benefit the community, especially during sports courses and other educational activities.

Our warmest thanks to the sponsors who contributed time and effort to make this project possible!

The smiles on the children’s faces - priceless… and the memories will stay forever.

You are part of this movement!

Kasama, Kaagapay, Kaantabay!
