Mabalacat City College (MCC) and VXI Global Holdings BV Philippines started the contract education training program last 8 May 2023 at the MCC Lifelong Learning Center. The training aims to equip the trainees with the necessary knowledge and skills for their future employment at VXI Global Solutions Contact Center Services.
During the orientation, Vice President for Global Relations, Opportunities, and Workforce Development Mr. Raymond John D. Vergara expressed his excitement for the 11 trainees as they learn about what to expect from their future job. He also highlighted that this is the first-ever contract education in the country and he hopes that the trainees, after successfully landing their jobs, come back to MCC to share their success stories and inspire other people.
Ms. Tyrah Mordeno, the trainer from VXI, first discussed the general information on Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). She also evaluated the English language ability level of the trainees based on The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and gave them accent training. Aside from technical skills, soft skills were also discussed, particularly mental health in the workplace.
Throughout the training, she encouraged the trainees to maximize the learning experience and emphasized that the training was a safe space for them.
The trainees expressed their gratitude to MCC and VXI Global Solutions Contact Center Services for giving them an opportunity to learn and grow. They added that they are now more confident in pursuing a career in the BPO industry and are excited to put their newly acquired into practice.
The MCC Workforce Development Unit continues to partner with industry leaders such as VXI Global Holdings BV Philippines. It also continues to provide relevant training and quality education to its students to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills for their future careers.
